What exactly would happen if you jumped off a 3 story building and landed on your feet?

Not saying I'm committing suicide or anything like that lol. It's just that me and my science teacher were talking about it and he said that it will shatter all the bones in your lower body. Is this true? What would happen?

I agree with your science teacher. The impact has to be absorbed somewhere, and, well, lets face it, bones are not the most cushioning when it comes to impacts.

I wouldn't be counting on using your legs again, that's for sure!

The impact would be absorbed in your feet and legs more that the rest of your body. You might the small bones in your ankles and would probably break both legs in multiple places. It's also possible that you'd injure your back.

First of all, you'd have to jump off a building higher than four stories to effectively die.
Depending on how you land, there could be a multitude of answers. If you try to remain balanced while falling in an attempt to land on your feet, then yes, your legs would "crumple" under you.
Graphically, if your legs are locked, your shins will shoot up into your thighs, and the bones in your legs will most likely shatter. You will live after this, that's why hospitals are usually only four stories.
However, it is possible to roll after jumping since you'll have a little less than two G's of force on your body.
Now, the head is the heaviest part of the body discounting the torso as a whole, therefore you'll fall head first. If this is the case, your head will have a splashing effect making a ring of blood and grey matter around the area of impact of the head.
In Japan, which has the highest suicide rate in the world, it is known as a "fallen angel" due to the halo-like ring.
I'm not sure about the ankles popping, although I've heard of it often enough.

I worked the trauma room and get these accidents a lot. The most common injuries are fracturing both heels and the energy forces continues up the legs and generally fractures the spine. So you end up with bilateral calcaneal fractures which look like pancakes and end up with a lumbar or thoracic spine compression fractures.
