What is causing this? Please help, no one knows why this is happening?

  1. Ok well I wear contacts during the day, but at night the glare is too much, so I switch to glasses. Now i got a new pair about 3 weeks ago. And I have no idea what they put in them, but they are pretty weird. The prescription is perfect, but

THEY MAKE EVERYTHING 3D! Mostly hot colours like red or orange. Anything red or orange on a 2D surface pops out like crazy. And anything blue does the opposite, it goes inwards...if that makes sense. I mean even a painting i have, a lady with a red dress dancing, her dress is fully 3D?! And on my ipod, all the icons are really 'deep'. WHYY??

This is a problem when im driving because the dials and gears are in RED (just my luck) and they pop out and are very distracting. And I think my perception vision is off, because my passenger said the whole time i was too for over to the right (australia, we drive on the left side of the road).

Look, this pair of glasses cost me 400 f*cking dollars, and if i have to pay again i will scream. But because this is their screw up, i won't have to pay as much, right?

I have been wearing glasses + contact since I was 9. So this isnt me having some super human vision. Any ideas on why this is happening?

( These glasses are -4.00 in my right -3.75 in my left, Anti screen glare, and the thing where they make the lense thinner. And this has been like this for the last 3 pairs of glasses ive owned. Why is this happening now. What did they put in there???)

(please dont say OMG THATS AWESOME because its not, i cant drive at night and i need too, and looking at anything flat in these hurts my eyes)

Life is already 3-D, but if you dont like it that way
    then go to watch avatar
keep the pair of 3d glasses and put them over your regular glasses
and then if my math is right 3d/3d = 1
There fore you will enter the first dimension

My glasses had the anti screen glare. At first the vision was really weird. I didn't notice anything with colors but everything seemed a little distorted. But it took about 2 weeks and then i got used to them. Try wearing them everyday , all day for a week. If you still have problems talk to your eye doctor.

You are noticing the chromatic aberration of the lens. My guess is that the lenses are made of polycarbonate which is thinner and lighter but has high chromatic aberration.

Return to where you got the glasses and tell them about the problem. Ask for lenses with lower chromatic aberration. They should replace them no charge.
