a cold lasts for several days. if this is going into weeks, it may be an allergy combined with a sinus infection. green snot? sinuses. treatable with antibiotics. a cold is viral, and has no meds to cure it. an allergy by itself has clear snot. there are otc meds to treat symptoms.

The cold otherwise referred to as the "rhino virus" loves tired bodies. The number one thing you need to get rid of that cold is extra rest. The second is a good inner cleansing solution. Nothing better to wash the body with than good ole water and plenty of it. That will surely give your cold a hard time to stay around and you should be feeling better in no time. Good luck.

A few things often help to kicking that cold out of your system. You may want to try some of these things:
1. Get WAY more rest. Sleep gives your body time to heal and do it's job. Pushing yourself will only prolong the symptoms and possibly make them worse.
2. Drink more fluids (steer clear of ice cold beverages as some cultures believe this can amplify the symptoms of a cold.)
3. Eat more fruit/vitamin C.
4. Use a Netti Pot or Nasal syringe with saline and water solution. Cleanse the nose thoroughly at least 2 x a day to flush out infection.
5. Disinfect your space - keyboards, computer mouse and phones are breeding grounds for germs.Hope this helps. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
