This is new for me. I have never had this happen before, and it stated a month or so ago. I can actually leave my thumbprint in it when I push down on it. It's not bad, but it's concerning. I massaged it away last night and although the gooeyness is gone it's still looks and feels like there is some sort of fluid there. I don't eat a ton of salt, my blood pressure is not super low but it's not high either. 130's over 70's or 80' somedays. I'm 48 years old. I don't do a lot of sports any more, but I do get in some golf and tennis. Also, there are some very tiny red splotches which I'm sure are capillaries or something. If this is water gain or a sign of some form of early diabetes why would it happen out of the blue sort of. I have never had any signs of high sugar levels, in fact just the opposite, they have always been well within a good range.

Pitting edema, is the term used to describe what you're experiencing. It's honestly most likely nothing related to Diabetes ( I know you don't have it, just saying) , I'd recommend seeing your general practitioner at your convenience, but don't postpone it too far. Tell them you have pitting edema. They need to run a check up on you and make sure it's not something serious.

It sounds like you have some swelling in your feet. The tiny red splotches mean that you have poor circulation. You should use support stockings to help with the swelling. Prop your feet up when you sit. This problem usually means that you may have a heart that is not functioning at the level that it should. or sluggish kidneys. The Dr. might give you water pills. I would get some exercise on a exercise bike that lets you sit with your legs forward. The kind that they have in the gyms now. This is the best way to control the swelling. I would See my Dr. and get a checkup.
