I’m not really sure what yondelis is. If it is something you will be receiving at your doctor’s office or the hospital the cost does not really matter as the amount you pay is based on the contract your insurance has with the provider. If it is something you will be taking on your own, you should call a few local pharmacies as the cost will vary depending on the area you live and the store you purchase it from.

Yondelis or trabectedin is a drug made from a marine organism (a type of sea squirt) for the treatment of soft tissue sarcoma. It is an approved drug in Europe, Russia, and South Korea. In the US it currently has 'orphan status' or is on the fast tract for approval. The drug is currently in clinical trials for other types of cancer too.

Yondelis was recently rejected by the FDA for the treatment of ovarian cancer.

It is not clear if the drug is sold or you need to be part of a clinical trial in order to receive the drug . . it probably depends on where you live.

In either case you should be going through your oncologist to locate access to the chemo.
