  3. I know its not good to answer a question with a question, but what is your ultimate guilty indulgence? Or what do you have that you really enjoy having on a daily basis, but know you can live without?

Instead of giving up food try another form of sacrifice. It could be as simple as promising to help someone with dishes/ chores etc...
There are heaps of foods you could steer clear of without stirring up the diabetes. Chocolate, icecream, flavoured milk whatever!!!!

You do not have to give up food, it can be anything. You could give up using your cellphone for a month for instance, or limit yourself to a certain number of clothes. It is the act of sacrifice or self-denial that is important.
Perhaps you could limit your drinking to just plain water, no juice or milk etc. It would be good for you healthwise too.

Being diabetic you need to keep it under control. To many bad side effects. I gave up religion many years ago and haven't had any problems since. You're health is more important then lent. Give up school there screwed up anyway.
