I'm going to the Army's ROTC "Leadership Training Course" this summer. I've notice in some videos of LTC that people are wearing safety glasses with the prescriptions inside it. Are there alternatives to "BC" glasses to wear the entire time?

From what I remember, contact lenses are not authorized at LTC. You are going to need to bring glasses. I went through LTC and wore my civilian glasses the whole time, I went through Airborne school, civ glasses there too- and I am on my 10th month in Iraq serving as the only eye doctor for western Iraq (guess what?!?) CIV GLASSES.

Moral here is, as long as your glasses meet uniform standards then you can wear civilian frames the whole time, I did. They have to be wire or plastic of natural color (brown, black, metal, silver, etc) no outrageous colors like red, green, pink. blue or purple and no designs or flashy logos like DG.. What you saw in the videos are military eye protoection (or called "eye pro") that soldiers get issued after they enlist. I don't think you are able to get them in ROTC. The military also has better frames than "BC" but I am also not sure you have access to those yet either. But things have changed since I went through so your school may be able to get them for you. Wear your glasses and you will be fine.
