I'm having my tonsils removed in a few days and most of what I can find is about having your tonsils removed when your 8 or 25yrs old. Is it going to be a worse recovery time like when your an adult or easier because i'm still young? I know each surgery varies but if you had your tonsils out around my age please leave a comment telling me how it went.

Whats it like to have your tonsils removed at 16?

I had my tonsils out when I was 13, so although it's a little younger than 16, the advice may still help. (:
My tonsils and adenoids were both removed because of constant Strep Throat. When the surgeon got in there, the tissue around the tonsils was all torn up and rough because of all the infection it went through. So because of that, more tissue around my tonsils had to be removed.
They say days 3-10 are the worst, although my worst day was the second. Although surgery is always something scary, a tonsillectomy isn't too bad. (;
