You may have 'dysplastic nevus' syndrome. AT 17 years old, you are at a time in your life where you start to pay more attention to your body and worry that something is abnormal, so what you are feeling is perfectly normal. If the anxiety is really a problem, you may want to speak to your doctor about an anti-anxiety medication. Otherwise, trust in your dermatoligist to evaulate your moles.

You my dear are suffering from teenage anxiety and depression. Your "friends" are feeding into that because they know you have a thing about moles. They do it to see your reaction to get their "kicks". If you stop talking about it with them, they will find someone else to "pick" on.

As for your moles? Unless your friends are doctors or dermatologists, why are you listening to them? See your doctor or dermatologist, DO WHAT THEY TELL YOU TO DO, don't lose the cream or ointment they give you and if you do, SPEAK UP ABOUT IT.

Life isn't about just wishing something away. Ignoring the symptoms and the doctor isn't going to solve your problems. Neither is stressing about them. You control whether or not you "fret" about something. You must be getting something out of it or you wouldn't keep doing it.

If it really does keep your mind occupied, perhaps you need some counseling in learning how to deal with it. That or come trade places with me. I have brain cancer and trust me, I'd rather deal with moles and rude friends.
