I would take this perception very, very seriously. I am a retired Chiropractor.
The cervical spine has a pair of small but vital arteries called the Vertebral Arteries that pass through the lateral foramina of the cervical vertebrae. These arteries can become partially or even totally occluded by atherosclerotic changes and, in some cases by extensive degenerative changes in the spine.
If one of the arteries is occluded, extreme rotation of the neck can occlude the other artery. If both become occluded, blood flow to the Circle of Willis in the brain is impaired. This can lead to a very serious "cerebral vascular accident" (CVA) - a form of stroke.
What I am describing is very rare. But, it is nasty if it happens to you! It would be very, very wise if you had a thorough evaluation by your family Chiropractor and/or a vascular surgeon. Better safe than sorry.
Best wishes and good luck.

The carotid arteries on both sides of the neck. If you set pressure at the neck the arteries shrink and it cause block of blood supply to the upper part.
