    You are a giving person.
But mainly because your blood has diabeties in it.
The paitents might get Diabeties if they use your blood.

Because of your medication will affect someone else who will be getting your blood.

  4. This topic has been discussed many times on this newsgroup, most recently about a week ago!  Look in deja news or some other archive for the full discussion. Meanwhile, there are two answers to this question: 1) Diabetics *can* give blood.  (I gave blood last week.) 2) Superstition. Basically, it depends on the blood bank.  Some banks will accept blood from diabetics, others won’t.  Of those blood banks that do accept blood from diabetics, some will ask a lot of questions and may reject you on such odd grounds as the fact that you reuse your own insulin needles, while others will take your word for it that you’re in good health and reasonably good control. The only legitimate grounds that I can think of for a blood bank to refuse to let a diabetic donate is if they have reason to think that the donor is in poor health and therefore that donating blood will be dangerous for them.  But all the pre-donation screening (blood pressure, temp, hemoglobin count, etc.), should cover that possibility for diabetics as it does for non-diabetics.
