Well.. you should tell them right away.. even if it breaks their hearts. Like, yeah they'll get real sad, and they might not understand, but tell them about it. Don't be like, "I have cancer.. im gonna die" be like, "I have cancer, but I'm gonna fight it and live!". Keep alot of hope and not like get frustrated about it or anything.

Wait are you asking when the best time to tell them that they are sick or that you are sick? I'm just gonna guess it was the first one.
You have to tell them right away. It gives them more time to process it before they start treatment.Posted 1 year ago # -
There are a lot of factors which are to be considered when facing such an ordeal.
One has to think about the age of the child, the type of illness which they have, what type of treatment is available and how much, how will this treatment affect the out come of the survival rate?
Are there both parents present in the home or only one--what type of support system will the child as swell as the family have. Will the child receive treatment close to home? If not where--how far away--what accommodations for the family member/members whom will accompany said child.
The only person to help with the answer to a question such as this--would be the team of doctors-nurses-social services-specialists, etc, who are involved with the child's care.
They along with the parents would be the ones who would decide on such a decision.
Hope that helped.Posted 1 year ago #
