Haha not of course out heart doesn't move. When we get startled or "stressed" suddenly, our muscles tense up and our heart starts beating. When someone's talking about this particular feeling It's a combination of the two and sometimes literally feels like your heart is in your throat! Same kinda thing when someone hears horrible news, and their heart sinks.

This sensation you describe is known as the flight or fight syndrome, G,A.S.= General adaption syndrome. when the brain perceives an urgent threat, then a number of actions take place that prepare the body for fight and injury, or running away. the spleen dumps extra blood into cardiovascular system, blood to non urgent organs is restricted (g.i. tract, bladder, liver, kidneys ect). blood is directed to the organs required to achieve fight or flight, ( muscles, nervous system, lungs, heart and brain). because the heart and lungs are preparing for hard work, the whole chest cavity is congested, it is this congestion in combination with high blood flow to the brain causes the feeling of a lump in the throat.
