Taking anti-nausea medicine can interfere with the pain meds ability to absorb and work correctly. What you need to do is take the meds with food. It doesn't need to be a lot of food, but you should have something in your stomach when taking them to avoid the nausea.

I have a few different pain meds an only take them seriously when I have pain the amount may be questioned though. My oxycodone I haven't been taking because they just make me feel like throwing up. Its gets rid of the pain but the I get an upset stomach.
When I get headache I usually just use Tylenol 3 and only get that I'm going to throw up after the 2-3rd pill.
Just wondering if it's okay to take anti-nausea medicine with pain meds, and if it will be effective.

It's really rare to have a problem with Tylenol. Sounds like it's more a psychological effect than a physical one. Try a liquid pain reliever and have some bland food with it like toast, crackers and so on. Don't take any kind of nausea medicine that coats the stomach because it will prevent the medicine from being absorbed. Same with milk.

Do you like taking pills? You didn't mention what kind of pain you have or where. Is it a headache? I had a doctor when I was in my 20's who would not give me muscle relaxants or pain medicine. He told me to buy some hiking shoes and get out over the weekend and hike. I did that and the pain in my back went away. The pain was caused by stress in my job. To cover the pain was not taking care of the problem.
Pain is good in a way because it lets us know there is a problem. Some things like hiking can help a stressed back but if you truly have chronic pain than you need to get to the source of the pain.
Pain comes from inflammation and swelling. Do you have this? To get rid of the inflammation and swelling takes enzymes. As we get older our anti-aging enzymes do not function like they did when we were younger. That is why kids can get hurt and get over it really fast. Their body's enzyme levels are so much higher when they are young then when they get older.
Inflammation and swelling and ultimately pain are caused by free radicals bombarding our bodies on a cellular level which causes oxidative stress. Oxidative stress is known to cause more than 300 diseases including inflammation and swelling. So if we could get the oxidative stress off of our cells then our bodies could heal. Make sense?
So check out oxidative stress. Or you can keep popping pills your whole like and get sicker and sicker as you get older and older. Which would you like to do?
