when that happens to me i just take out the lens, rinse it with solution, use eye drops for dry eye syndrome on my eye before putting on the lens again ... you could also be wearing contacts for too long, that's what happened to me so the doctor put me on a two-week no contacts regimen then let me use contacts only for a maximum of 12 hours per day after ... wearing glasses takes some getting used to particularly that part about having no peripheral vision, but i'm there and actually look forward to taking off the contacts as soon as i get home :)

Why does my eye burn?

I got a trial pair of focus dailies last week and have to go back for a follow-up appointment tomorrow. When my eye doctor put the left side in, my eye was fine. However, since then I've had to put it on myself and for some reason my eye always burns. Drops help somewhat and it does go away, and when I take it out the feeling is gone.
Why does my eye burn? It's just my left eye; my right eye is fine.
(I have worn contacts before and always wash my eyes before I put them in and take them out, btw).
