My right wrist (dominant/writing hand) has been feeling odd lately. When not in use or after a lot of use, it'll get sort of numb and my hand will go floppy, and when I write (which is a lot -- notetaking, homework, etc) there's a sort of sharp pain every time I move my hand.
This has been going on for 2-3 months now.
Is this carpal tunnel or something else?

You have the symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome. There are some physical therapy exercises that can help with this, but you will need to see a therapist for those exercises. You should really check with a doctor first to see if you should do PT or if your injury is so great that you need surgery.
